I began my art career in 2002 at the age of fifty while visiting my aunts in Florida. I discovered watercolor as a medium and have pursued it ever since. I am predominantly a landscape artist with an affinity for water and beach scenes but I explore florals as well. I began showing my work almost immediately and have had multiple shows with my own work. Currently my work is in private collections throughout the United States, Costa Rica and Europe. I serve as the President of the Windsor Palette and Brush Club (WPBC) and I am a member of the West Hartford Art League (WHAL), the Lyme Art Association (LAA), the Connecticut Watercolor Society (CWS) and the Windsor Art Center (WAC). I have shown and sold my work in all of these venues. I currently have my work on display at several professional businesses in the Windsor area where I live. I also have a cottage on Hartford Avenue in Old Lyme where I get my inspiration in the summer.

I am predominantly a watercolor artist focusing on landscapes and beach scenes. I continue to challenge floral designs as well. I really love to paint trees, especially birch trees and moonlight. I studied with Myrna Wacknov from San Francisco who help me to explore mixed media and creating interesting backgrounds with texture. She is an expert with portraits so I can see experimenting with that in my future. I recently took a few drawing classes with Nan Runde at the West Hartford Art League which has improved my drawing. I have also experimented with ink and purchased multi-colored watercolor inks that I will play with in the coming year. I was fortunate to spend a week with watercolorist, Dan Marshall, in Maine in 2021. I learned a lot about plein air painting and now I have the equipment to do it!
I love spending time at the beach and swimming in the ocean. I am also a fan of nature, enjoying a walk in the woods or appreciating landscape on a scenic drive. I have been known to photograph a sunset while traveling in my car. The moon also holds equal sway for me. Is there anything more spectacular than a super moon coming up red

I have been known to photograph a sunset while traveling in my car. The moon also holds equal sway for me. Is there anything more spectacular than a super moon coming up red on the ocean horizon? It could be a scorching red sunset as it casts scarlet flames over the water. I love to paint skies as they are so dramatic, colorful and unique. I am always looking for exceptional compositions that will inspire others when they see it.
Now that I am spending time with my grandnephews, they are become my new muses. They are so precious and innocent and never cease to make me smile.
